Creating connections for a positive impact

Waiheke Connect is a catalyst, creating opportunities to meet others.
If you're a Waiheke Island based freelancer, entrepreneur, creative, or remote worker
that wants to connect with others in our community then this is the group for you.

This is Waiheke Connect

Events

Waiheke Connect organises events that are open to both our membership and the wider community. This ranges from business focused professional development workshops to community-minded events and meet-ups focused on strengthening our community, local economy and work opportunities.

As a member you have access to our free meet-ups and discounted access to the paid events.

Community

Waiheke Connect was set up both to provide a supportive community to members and to be a conduit for a thriving local island community and economy. We believe in supporting each other in our working lives, and by doing so make it possible for people to work, collaborate and create without always having to commute or leave the island, ensuring economic diversity and strong local connections.

We love supporting local youth and in 2020 had our first creative careers morning at Waiheke High School, introducing local youth to creative careers and answering questions about career pathways.

Co-working

We opened our co-working space on the 17th of May 2021 at the Old Surfdale Post Office.
